Edith Fleck
I am an MBACP-accredited counsellor with 22 years’ experience. In January 2022, I was awarded an MBE for services to the community in counselling. My background is in nursing, district nursing, and nurse management, giving me insight into work-related issues and public challenges. I see children, individuals, couples, and families, including single parents. Some work with professionals, reflecting my professional background. I have extensive experience in schools, health centers, and employment assistance programs. I have undertaken extensive training in counseling, bereavement, relationships, family therapy, couples counseling, psychotherapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy at the master’s level, approved by the National Council of Psychotherapy. I believe there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach in counseling. I work from an integrative perspective, using tools from different modalities to tailor treatment to each client. I offer a warm, professional environment to help clients work through their difficulties. Counseling can provoke anxiety, so I am registered with the ICO to protect client data, explaining this upfront to create a safe, nonjudgmental space for exploring difficulties and finding coping mechanisms.ping mechanisms.
